"... and then I was dressed as a flying mushroom at carnival ...", 2009

Performance And Video With Bernadette Anzengruber, 1 x 12min

Fridericianum, Kassel (D), in the frame of the festival PERFORMANCEbeHANDLUNGSRAUM

when we are dressed as flying mushrooms, our memories only seem to be synthetic tasting hallucinations.

Two like Laurel and Hardy, Bernadette and Veronika slip back into the egg. All her pride -  a pink snake resembling a feather boa, and an orange tutu skirt that has the glamour of a diva and the grace of a ballerina.

Desperate episodes from one's own or imagined childhood. Trist and bleak, but always together.

"Nicely looking is easy, but you need courage for ugliness, my mother always told me.

My mom says I should not have learned to dance ballet because she could never have imagined me in a tutu-skirt."
